Terms of use
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
1.1 The Fire Compliance Vault ("the Vault") is operated by Four Point Zero Compliance Limited, company no. 17326139, VAT no. GB 525 6595 65, registered office C/O Towers + Gornall Ltd, River View, 96 High Street, Garstang, Preston, Lancashire, PR3 1WZ ("Four Point Zero", "we", "us").
1.2 These terms apply to everyone who uses the Vault, including people invited by a subscribing organisation and anyone completing a new customer setup form. By signing in or using the Vault you agree to them.
1.3 Your organisation's use of the Vault is also governed by its subscription terms with us. If these terms and the subscription terms conflict, the subscription terms apply.
2. Your account
2.1 Access is by invitation only. Your account is personal to you: do not share your password or let anyone else use your account.
2.2 Keep your password secure and tell us straight away on 0330 633 4040 or james@fourpointzerocompliance.com if you think someone else has used your account.
2.3 Your organisation decides your role and which sites you can see, and can remove your access at any time. We may suspend an account to protect the Vault or its users.
3. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Vault for anything unlawful, or upload material that is unlawful, infringes anyone's rights, or contains viruses or other harmful code;
- try to access information, sites or organisations you have not been given access to, or test, probe or get round the Vault's security;
- copy, scrape, download in bulk by automated means, frame, or extract the Vault's software, design or content, except for your own organisation's documents and the compliance packs the Vault produces for you;
- reverse engineer, decompile or try to discover the source code of the Vault, or use it to build or help build a competing product or service;
- resell, sublicense or provide the Vault to anyone else, or remove or obscure any copyright, trade mark or other notice.
4. Your documents
4.1 Certificates, reports and other documents uploaded to the Vault belong to your organisation (or whoever owns them). We do not claim ownership of them.
4.2 Your organisation gives us permission to store, copy, read, process and display those documents, and to compile them into compliance packs and schedules, only as needed to provide the Vault and our related services. This includes reading documents automatically to extract details such as type, contractor, reference and dates.
4.3 You confirm you are allowed to upload each document and share it through the Vault.
5. Our intellectual property
5.1 The Vault, including its software, source code, databases, design, layout, text, graphics, workflows, compliance schedule and pack formats, certificate categories, alert rules and all other content we provide (excluding your documents), is owned by or licensed to Four Point Zero and is protected by copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights. All rights are reserved.
5.2 "Fire Compliance Vault", "Four Point Zero Compliance" and the Four Point Zero logo are trade marks of Four Point Zero Compliance Limited. You may not use them without our written permission.
5.3 While your organisation's subscription is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Vault for your organisation's own compliance purposes. No other right or licence is given.
5.4 If you send us ideas or suggestions about the Vault, we may use them freely and without any obligation to you.
6. What the Vault does and does not do
6.1 The Vault stores and organises documents, records dates and sends reminders. Details read automatically from documents, expiry dates worked out from usual service intervals, and status indicators are aids only: please check them.
6.2 We do not inspect premises or verify, certify or guarantee that the work a document describes was done correctly, or that any document meets a standard, insurer requirement or legal duty. A compliance pack reflects the documents and dates recorded, not an inspection.
6.3 Legal duties stay with the responsible person or duty holder, including under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 and the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025. Using the Vault does not transfer any of those duties to us.
6.4 Reminders are a courtesy. Arranging renewals remains your organisation's responsibility, even if a reminder is late, missed or switched off.
7. Availability and changes
7.1 We work to keep the Vault available and secure but do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may need to suspend it for maintenance, security or reasons outside our control.
7.2 We may improve or change the Vault from time to time. Keep your own copies of original documents: the Vault is not intended to be your only record.
8. Liability
8.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
8.2 Subject to 8.1, our liability to your organisation is set out in its subscription terms. We are not liable to individual users for any loss arising from use of the Vault, including loss of profit, business, insurance cover or data, or any indirect or consequential loss.
9. Ending your use
Your access ends if your organisation removes you, its subscription ends, or you breach these terms. Sections 4 to 8 and 10 continue to apply after your access ends.
10. General
10.1 We may update these terms. We will show the date of the latest version above and, for significant changes, tell your organisation's main contact. Continuing to use the Vault means you accept the updated terms.
10.2 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
10.3 Questions about these terms: james@fourpointzerocompliance.com or 0330 633 4040.
